Helping Farila!

Farila is one of our Sew&Sing participants. A soft spoken Afghan refugee, she is very hard working, resilient and always positive. She has completed two of our cycles and shows promise to be a seamstress.

Farila hopes to have a better life in America but very sadly on 7/12/24, her apartment caught fire and everything burned down.  She and her 5 children escaped with only the clothes they were wearing. They do not even have an insurance who can cover the massive loss.

Luckily, she will move into a new apartment this week but she needs all the help she can get. Thus, we are reaching out to you, kind people around the world to help Farila.

Donations of household and kitchen items, furniture, clothing etc. will be most appreciated.  Even more appreciated would be monetary donations. There is only one person working at a minimum wage so…
