About the event
Why InTandem? This isn't just another gig. It's a PAID opportunity to be part of an Ensemble that's bringing Roshni’s powerful work with the marginalized to the mainstream, offering a Transformative Experience not just for you but also for our audiences.
Our vision: InTandem envisions a world where the Transformative power of Movement, and Creative Arts serve as a spotlight, bringing the Impactful work of Roshni to bigger stages and to the mainstream population. By fusing diverse dance styles and live music, enveloped in brilliant setting, costumes, we aim to spark greater public involvement in Arts and our artistic endeavours serving those historically underserved. Through our Professional Ensemble, we strive to offer high-caliber opportunities for Artists from diverse Cultural backgrounds, amplify marginalized voices, and foster Awareness, Empathy and Transformation.
The Numbers - Minimum Pay Budget (artists will be able to request higher rates and receive specific offers based on experience and circumstance):
Rehearsals
- Start Date: Tuesday, February 7, 2024
- Days & times: TBD, 4-hour blocks twice-a-week
- Duration: 3 months
- Objective: Intensive prep culminating in a transformative set of performances.
- Rate: $30/hr
- Total Rehearsal Weeks: ~12 weeks (February through April)
- Weekend Rehearsals: $200/weekend, 3 long weekends
Company Community Class
- InTandem will also be offering a weekly rotating “community class” where we will have the opportunity to share our specific styles with each other AND the larger CO dance community. These classes will take place before or after one of the rehearsals each week, and are mandatory for company members to attend.
Shows
- May & June, 2024
- $150/show, 8 shows minimum (additional paid shows may arise in May & June)
Total Dancer Stipend (minimum): $4,680
